Our scheme at Trellis Mews provides 12 new socially-rented homes on an old garage site, completed in 2022. The design is informed by the mid 20th Century houses at the front of the site whilst using aluminium profiles to animate the balconies making reference to the fretwork of the Victorian porches found on the surrounding streets.

Arranged around two stair cores, each apartment is accessed through generous private south facing terraces which also minimises the amount of horizontal circulation space. A veil of battens and planters wrap across the terraces to provide privacy and reduce overlooking whilst still providing passive surveillance over the street.
